So yes, Japan is as hilarious as the internet let us think: the signs are all made with cute little drawings, there is a drink called “sweat”, and even airport toilets have loads of funny buttons to play with:Īlso the people are as kind and caring as I have been told – more, in fact. Turns out, I didn’t actually sleep in the plane, and the day was barely starting in Japan at the moment I arrived (7:00am) – long day ahead!īut my excitement was more efficient than any coffee one can possibly drink, so I went ahead with that stupid smile still not leaving my face (not sure if the locals have been looking at me (quite intensely sometimes) a lot because of that or because I am a strange bright blond blue eyed girl (and “tall” for Japanese standards with that, according to my host mother)… Probably both!).
